To begin, I need to choose a subject. I’ll open a list of 100 subjects and look for inspiration. For this first cinematic shot, I’ve decided on a pirate. I’ll copy that and return it to Midjourney to paste it in as the subject.

So now, our prompt reads: “Cinematic still of a pirate.” Next, I need to choose a preposition. This determines the relationship between the subject and the background and environment. I’ll select “on” for the preposition, but you can choose your own, such as “below” or “above,” depending on how you want the subject to interact with the background and environment.

I’ll also pick a background and environment. For this image, a moonlit beach seems fitting for a pirate. I’ll paste that into the prompt, resulting in: “Cinematic still of a pirate on a moonlit beach.”

Now comes the crucial part – choosing a specific film style to inspire this cinematic still.
